ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL FRANCES CANAS

 

I am proud to be a part of the Arlington Park community and to contribute to the education and well-being of our youngest learners. As a product of Dallas ISD, I bring a deep understanding of the community’s rich history and the unique needs of its children and families.

With over 20 years of experience in education, I hold both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree from the University of North Texas (UNT). My career includes teaching grades Pre-K through 3rd grade, serving as an Instructional Coach for the Early Learning Department, and as an Administrator for the SRI Early Childhood Program. I started my career in childcare, where I first recognized the powerful role social-emotional learning plays in setting the foundation for future academic and life success.

I am passionate about ensuring that all children have a strong start and that families feel supported and empowered in their children’s education. I believe that high-caliber early learning prepares children to reach their full potential, and I’m excited to bring that expertise, alongside a collaborative spirit, to make Arlington Park a place where every child can grow, learn, and flourish.

Estoy orgullosa de ser parte de la comunidad de Arlington Park y de contribuir a la educación y el bienestar de nuestros estudiantes más pequeños. Como producto de Dallas ISD, tengo una comprensión profunda de la rica historia de la comunidad y de las necesidades únicas de sus niños y familias.

Con más de 20 años de experiencia en educación, cuento con una Licenciatura y una Maestría de la Universidad del Norte de Texas (UNT). Mi carrera incluye la enseñanza de Pre-K a 3º grado, el servicio como Coach Instruccional para el Departamento de Educación de la Primera Infancia y como Administradora para el Programa de Primera Infancia SRI. Comencé mi carrera en el cuidado infantil, donde reconocí por primera vez el papel tan importante que desempeña el aprendizaje socioemocional para sentar las bases del éxito académico y personal en el futuro.

Me apasiona asegurarme de que todos los niños tengan un buen comienzo y que las familias se sientan apoyadas y empoderadas en la educación de sus hijos. Creo que una educación inicial de alta calidad prepara a los niños para alcanzar su máximo potencial y me entusiasma aportar esa experiencia, junto con un espíritu de colaboración, para hacer de Arlington Park un lugar donde cada niño pueda crecer, aprender y florecer.
